PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cell capable of preventing adhesion of liquid or solid state alkali metal onto wall of a main chamber.SOLUTION: A gas cell (12) includes: a cell body (125, 127) a first wall (125) which defines an internal space as a main chamber (121) in the cell body a sub chamber for reserving an alkali metal a second wall (126) which defines a sub chamber (122) communicating with the main chamber (121) in the cell body(125, 127) a heater (17) which covers the first wall (125) and evaporates the alkali metal a second wall (126) which defines the sub chamber (122) communicating with the main chamber (121) in the cell body (125, 127). The heater (17) covers the first wall (125).
