PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair treatment agent composition easily giving uniform application-feeling to the hair and facilitating improvement in hair luster and also hair smoothness.SOLUTION: The hair treatment agent composition contains: at least one keratin component selected from hydrolyzed keratin and cationized hydrolyzed keratin a cationic surfactant and an amino acid-based amphoteric surfactant. The hair treatment agent composition preferably contains cationized hydrolyzed keratin as the keratin component. In the hair treatment agent composition, the content of the keratin component is preferably 0.01 to 1.5 mass% and the content of the amino acid-based amphoteric surfactant is preferably 0.05 to 5.0 mass%. The hair treatment agent composition preferably further contains hydrophobized hydroxyalkyl cellulose.
