PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine which prevents the husking and being pulverized of tailings and simultaneously grading grains.SOLUTION: The combine has a retreating device 59 for retreating the tailings on the conveying end side of a tailings returning device 58, 160 for returning the tailings to a threshing device 5 after threshed and graded. The lower portion of the retreating device 59 communicates with the threshing device 5 through a tailings-releasing portion 215 arranged below the rotation shaft 158 of a threshing cylinder 51 in the threshing device 5.
