PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Zn-Al alloy plated steel wire having high corrosion resistance and improve a wire breaking life of a plated steel wire in seawater for cultivation of seafood mainly for oyster cultivation.SOLUTION: There is provided a plated steel wire excellent in seawater resistance and scratch resistance and having a plated layer of Zn formed on a surface of a base iron containing, by mass%, C:0.35 to 0.40%, Si:0.15 to 0.30%, Mn:0.60 to 0.90%, P:0.020% or less and S:0.010% or less and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and the plated layer contains, by mass%, Al:3.5 to 12%, the plated steel has an alloy later with Fe-Zn-Al composition between the plated layer and the base iron and a tensile strength of 1150 to 1390 MPa.【課題】高耐食性を有するZn-Al合金めっき鋼線に関する。牡蠣養殖を主体とする魚介類の養殖用めっき鋼線の海中における断線寿命を向上させる。【解決手段】地鉄の表面にZnのめっき層が形成されためっき鋼線であって、前記地鉄は、質量％で、C:0.35～0.40％、Si:0.15～0.30％、Mn:0.60～0.90％、P:0.020％以下、S:0.010％以下、を含有し、残部がFeおよび不純物からなり、前記めっき層は、質量％で、Al：3.5-12％を含有し、前記めっき層と前記地鉄との間にFe-Zn-Al組成の合金層を有し、引張強度が１１５０～１３９０MPaである、耐海水性耐擦過性に優れためっき鋼線。【選択図】図１
