At that, the treatment regimen reduces the level of total cholesterol, reduces the level of LDL in patients with pathological LDL, and increases the level of HDL in patients with pathological HDL. Each subsequent treatment session is carried out 2-14 days after the previous session, where each session includes a low-volume plasmapheresis, including treatment of less than about 1000 ml of blood.
