The planting work chamber 2 has a microbe entry-limiting structure and is provided with: a sterilizing agent supply device 23 that supplies a predetermined amount of a sterilizing agent into the planting work chamber 2, said sterilizing agent being use to sterilize a work space into which a plurality of culture medium-holding units 3 are carried； a sterilizing agent concentration detection device 24 that is provided to the planting work chamber 2 and that detects the concentration of the sterilizing agent； an exhaust device 26 that discharges the sterilizing agent from the planting work chamber 2； and an outside air supply device 25 that is used when the sterilizing agent is discharged from the planting work chamber 2 to supply outside air into the planting work chamber 2 via a filter 25b capable of capturing bacteria.
