The present invention relates to a method which considers a gap to perform transmission beam focusing so as to compensate beam focusing performance degradation by a bonding unit if an active element for transmitting ultrasound in ultrasound transmission includes the bonding unit. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an ultrasound transducer device comprises: a determination unit determining whether a bonding unit is included between the active elements for transmitting ultrasound if an ultrasound transmission command is received； a delay time calculation unit calculating a transmission delay time considering a determined result； and an ultrasound generation unit generating an ultrasound transmission signal based on the calculated transmission delay time.본 발명은 초음파 송신 시 초음파를 송신하는 액티브 엘리먼트가 접합부를 포함하는 경우 이 간격을 고려하여 송신 빔집속을 수행하여 접합부에 의한 빔집속 성능저하를 보상하는 방법에 관한 것으로서, 일실시예에 따른 초음파 변환자 장치는 초음파 송신 명령을 수신하는 경우, 초음파를 송신하는 액티브 엘리먼트 사이에 접합부가 포함되는지 여부를 판단하는 판단부, 상기 판단 결과를 고려하여, 송신 지연 시간을 계산하는 지연 시간 계산부, 및 상기 계산된 송신 지연 시간에 기초하여 초음파 송신 신호를 생성하는 초음파 생성부를 포함할 수 있다.
