PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snare capable of reliably holding a polyp with a snare loop of a snare regardless of differences in techniques of operators.SOLUTION: The snare includes a wire part 15 having a snare loop 16 at a distal end, and a tubular sheath 11 in which the wire part 15 is inserted. In a state where the snare loop 16 is protruded from the distal end of the tubular sheath 11 and formed into a looped state, the snare loop 16 has protrusions 17, the distal end of which face inward a space 16h surrounded by the snare loop 16. The protrusions 17 are formed by bending the wire that forms the snare loop 16, and are adapted to have certain strength deformable when a prescribed magnitude of force is applied thereto along the axial direction of the wire forming the snare loop 16, so as to enlarge the angle of the distal end.
