PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter for optical biopsy, especially of pulmonary tissue, considerably reducing costs of the intervention.SOLUTION: A catheter for optical biopsy comprises: a forceps for tissue sampling on its distal end and a forceps control device, a light source, and a device for imaging and analysis of a scanned tissue on its proximal end, with the distal and proximal ends interconnected with an elongated sheath 4 containing at least one optical fiber 5 and a Bowden cable with a control cable or a wire.
