The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, improving or treating obesity, which contains a loganic acid and derivatives thereof or pharmaceutically allowable salts thereof as effective ingredients. The loganic acid in the present invention has excellent efficacy in inhibiting fat cell differentiation, inhibiting fat cell differentiation, and activating marker expression, and has efficacy in effectively inhibiting weight gain in a menopausal obese animal model, fat accumulation of the liver and fat cell size increase of abdominal adipose tissues. Therefore, the loganic acid and the composition containing the same as the effective ingredient can be usefully utilized as a pharmaceutical agent for preventing, improving and treating the obesity.본 발명은 로가닉산(Loganic acid)과 이의 유도체 또는 이의 약학적으로 허용 가능한 염을 유효성분으로 함유하는 비만 예방, 개선 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명의 로가닉산은 지방세포의 분화 억제 및 지방세포 분화 및 활성 마커의 발현 억제에 좋은 효능이 있으며, 갱년기 비만 동물모델에서의 체중증가, 간에서의 지방 축적, 복부지방 조직에서의 지방세포 크기 증가를 효과적으로 억제하는 효능이 있다. 따라서, 본 발명의 로가닉산과 이를 유효성분으로 포함하는 조성물은 비만의 예방, 개선 및 치료를 위한 약학적 제제로서 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
