The present invention relates to a composition containing a BIX02189 compound as an active ingredient for preventing or treating pulmonary fibrosis and a method for screening a medicine for preventing or treating pulmonary fibrosis wherein the method is performed by screening a material which inhibits the expression of fibroblasts. The compound according to the present invention has effects of inhibiting TGF-beta1 fibrosis and regulating Smad3 acetylation, and thus can be useful as a composition for preventing or treating pulmonary fibrosis.본 발명은 BIX02189 화합물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 폐섬유증 예방 또는 치료용 조성물 및 섬유아세포의 발현을 억제하는 물질을 스크리닝하는 폐섬유증의 예방 또는 치료용 약제의 스크리닝 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 화합물은 TGF-β1의 섬유화반응을 억제하고, Smad3의 아세틸화를 조절하는 효과가 있어 폐섬유증의 예방 또는 치료용 조성물로서 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
