The invention relates to a noise-insulation wall in which plants can be cultivated and planting rib boards can be inserted obliquely by their ends into respectively adjacent holding constructions. According to the invention, it is proposed that the respective holding constructions are constructed as a single-part or multi-part plate (1), the plate has slots (8) which run obliquely in accordance with the position of the planting rib boards (2) and whose cross-section is at least as large as that of the ends (10) of the planting rib boards, the planting rib boards are provided, at a distance from their respective ends, with cross-sectional regions (12) which taper with respect to the end cross-sections, the ends of the planting rib boards engage behind the plate and both the plate and planting rib boards consist of plastic. The noise-insulation wall according to the invention can be readily assembled without heavy lifting gear, it consists of a minimum of different structural elements, is inherently stable, does not require any concrete foundations and guarantees a high degree of sound absorption, while being maintenance-free. <IMAGE>
