The present disclosure provides a vaccine composition comprising at least one adjuvant and at least one antigen, wherein the adjuvant is a cationic lipid. This disclosure also provides a method for treating a disease in a mammal using a vaccine composition, a method for preventing a disease in a mammal, a cross-presentation of an antigen in a mammal to cause a humoral immune response and cellular immunity. A method of inducing a response is also provided.
