PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner capable of operating with a large amount of air while suppressing operation noise.SOLUTION: An air cleaner 1 includes: a housing 2 in which an air passage 20 leading to an exhaust part 5 from an intake part 3 is formed inside a blower fan 25 which is provided inside the housing 2, and which generates an air flow in the air passage 20 a dust collection filter 24 which is provided in the air passage 20, and which removes dust from the passing air an operation part 29 which moves the dust collection filter 24 and a control circuit 40 which controls the operation of the blower fan 25 and the operation part 29. The dust collection filter 24 includes a plurality of filters. The operation part is controlled so as to move or stop the plurality of filters individually, according to a control situation of the control circuit 40.
