An abalone is a type of mollusk included in archaeogastropoda haliotidae. Abalones inhabit low-water level areas of oceanic islands or rocks having a depth of 5-50 m under the sea. An oceanic place where the water is clean and plenty of seaweeds are propagated is good for abalones to live. However, abalone harvests are currently decreasing due to a lack of adhesive diatoms which are used as an initial food for abalones. The cultivation of adhesive diatoms in oceanic farms in Jeju and the Korean East Coast is more difficult than in back bays because they contain less nutrient salts than the back bays. Accordingly, the present invention exhibits a practical culture medium for culturing adhesive diatoms used as a food for abalones. In the cultivation for adhesive diatoms used as a food for abalones, composite fertilizers and urea fertilizers are used as main materials so that the unit cost of the culture medium is reduced. Culture mediums having a particular concentration are continuously supplied so that the propagation of the adhesive diatoms is activated to increase productivity. A culture medium of the present invention is managed continuously until all procedures for producing abalones products are finished, so that the mass mortality of early young shells is reduced and a large amount of healthy abalone shells can be produced.
