A method to improve the efficiency of refuge crops in preventing thedevelopment of insects that are resistant to an insecticide. The methodinvolves using an attractant to lure insects to the refuge and increase thepopulation of survivors. The protected crops include cotton and corn. Therefuge crop may be the same crop, a different crop, or a naturally occurringplant population.
