A positioning device to facilitate the maintenance of a patent airway by correctly positioning a patients head under anesthesia during an operation or procedure comprising at least one adjustable support including a plurality of segments or sections selectively positionable relative to adjacent segments or sections and selectively lockable relative to each other having a patient engaging member coupled to the proximal end portion thereof to engage a portion of the patients head to maintain the position of the patients head during an operation or procedure.
