A system for coupling a user to at least one support apparatus comprising a harness 26 for said user, a hoist, wherein said harness 26 and said hoist have co-operable attachment means for releasably coupling said harness 26 to said hoist and at least one frame 2 configured to receive said user, wherein said harness 26 and said at least one frame 2 have co-operable attachment means 28 for releasably coupling said harness to said at least one frame. The attachment means 28 to couple to the frame may be provided at the hips of the user, or at the upper back region. The frame may be part of a walker, exercise device or other support. The attachment means for the hoist may be provided at the shoulders of the user. The harness may provide postural support.
