The operating device (3) is provided with a cutting member (15) that is able to move freely backwards and forwards and is used to cut a ligature wire (18) of the ligature tool for medical treatment (2). A distal end side of the cutting member (15) has an inclined end portion (29) that is inclined relative to the direction of forward and backward movement, and a blade portion (16) is provided in this inclined end portion (29).
