An injection pen needle having a protective safety system comprising: a needle cone (11); a needle (20) mounted on the cone having an injection end and a non-injection end, wherein the cone (11) has radial walls defining a first recess (52) surrounding the injection end of the needle and a second hole (54) surrounding the non-injection end of the needle to receive a pen injector (190); a first protector (104) that coaxially moves over the radial wall that defines the first hole (52) of the cone (11) and that has an opening in an end wall thereof for the passage of the needle, where the first protector moves between a retracted position in which the needle is exposed and a full path position in which the protector covers the injection end of the needle; and a first elastic member (300, 320) housed between the first protector (104) and the cone (11), which couples the first protector to keep the first protector in the full path position, said first elastic member being a clip ( 300, 320) located against the cone (11) and having a flange (102), characterized in that the system comprises a second protector (40) within the radial wall defining the second hollow (54) of the cone (11) that it has an opening to allow the passage of the non-injection end of the needle in the pen injector (190), where the second protector (40) moves within the radial wall that defines the second cone hole (54) of a position in which the pen injector is installed in the cone to a full path position in which the pen injector is removed from the cone and the second protector covers the non-injection end of the needle; and a second elastic member (60) housed between the second protector (40) and the cone (11), which couples the second protector to keep the second protector in its full path position, thus preventing the protector from moving further in relation with the non-injection end of the needle and cone; wherein said flange of the first elastic member engages the grooves aligned in the radi
