PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for accelerating the growth of beetle larvae, easily produced and especially suitable for the beetle larvae and a method for obtaining a large sized adult beetle by accelerating the growth of the beetle larvae.SOLUTION: This material for accelerating the growth of the beetle larvae is characterized by consisting mainly of the fine pieces of broad leaf trees, and bonded as a block form by the hypha of fungi selected from a group consisting of Lentinus edodes, Pleurotus ostreatus, Pleurotus cystidiotus and Ganoderma lucidum.
