PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bird repellent that is superior in repellency in which birds escape outside a predetermined range over an extended period of time, without harming birds bodies, in a roosting place, a roost and a nesting place of birds, which are set up in a location not desired by a human.SOLUTION: A bird repellent comprises an active ingredient of a mixture between compounds of one or two kinds or more selected from aromatic ethers obtained by simultaneous substituent-bonding of an alkoxy group, a hydroxy group and an aldehyde group to a benzene nucleus, and the aromatic ethers obtained by simultaneous substituent bonding of a methylenedioxy group and the aldehyde group to the benzene nucleus, and the aromatic ethers obtained by the substituent-bonding of the alkoxy group to a naphthalene nucleus.
