A combine harvester with a threshing unit for threshing the harvested cropsinto grains,and with a driver assistance system for driving the threshing unit, whereinthe driverassistance system comprises a memory for storing data and a computing unit forprocessing the data stored in the memory, and wherein a sensor assembly isprovided fordetecting at least a part of the current harvest process status. It isproposed that a sensorconfiguration is assigned to the sensor assembly； that the sensorconfiguration is definedby the type and extent of operational sensors of the sensor assembly and isstored or hasthe ability to be stored in the memory； that a functional system model for atleast one partof the combine harvester is stored in the memory； and that the computing unitis set up toperform a particularly autonomous calculation of at least one threshing unitparameterbased on the system model； and that the computing unit defines the systemmodelunderlying the control of the threshing unit, depending on the sensorconfiguration storedin the memory.
