Provided is a pharmaceutical dosage form comprising (i) trientine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of trientine in (ii) a sealed package. The sealed package provides high shielding protection against air, moisture, and light and prevents the drug from being exposed to conditions that may facilitate its degradation. The pharmaceutical dosage forms are useful for treating diseases or conditions in which excess copper is not removed from the body, such as Wilson disease.
