PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marker in blood serum that precisely reflects a degree of edema accompanied by a liver disease and is also excellent in quantification, and to provide an albumin formulation that is advantageous for prevention of edema accompanied by a liver disease or a medical treatment thereof.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, a determination method of edema accompanied by a liver disease is provided that includes quantification of an oxidized albumin ratio of albumin in a biological specimen obtained from a subject. Preferably in the present method, on the basis of a positive correlation between the oxidized albumin ratio and the degree of the edema, the degree of the edema is determined. Further, according to the present invention, an albumin formulation for prevention of the edema accompanied by a liver disease or medical treatment thereof is provided that includes albumin having the oxidized albumin ratio of less than 60%. The oxidized albumin ratio of the albumin included in the present formulation is preferably less than 25%.【課題】肝疾患に伴う浮腫の程度を的確に反映し、定量性にも優れた血清中のマーカーを提供すること。肝疾患に伴う浮腫の予防又は治療に有用なアルブミン製剤を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明は、被験者から得た生体試料中のアルブミンの酸化型アルブミン比率を定量することを含む、肝疾患に伴う浮腫の判定方法を提供する。本方法においては、好ましくは酸化型アルブミン比率と浮腫の程度との間の正の相関に基づき浮腫の程度の判定が行われる。また、本発明は、酸化型アルブミン比率が６０％未満のアルブミンを含有する、肝疾患に伴う浮腫の予防又は治療用アルブミン製剤を提供する。本製剤中に含まれるアルブミンの酸化型アルブミン比率は、好ましくは２５％未満である。【選択図】なし
