An ultrasonic probe (12) includes an element chip (22), a flexible wiring member (23) and a control circuit (24). The element chip includes a substrate (31) forming a plurality of openings (48) arranged in an array pattern and a plurality of ultrasonic transducer elements (33) disposed at the openings. The flexible wiring member is connected to the element chip, and forming at least a part of an annular body (21) surrounding a space. The control circuit is connected to the flexible wiring member and electrically connected to the ultrasonic transducer elements via the flexible wiring member.
