PURPOSE: A photon counting detecting device and a method for the same are provided to generate images at high resolution based on a result of detecting a photon counting in a predetermined energy band which is output by read circuits.CONSTITUTION: A photon counting detecting device comprises read circuits(51,52,53,54). The read circuits sort photons included multi-energy radiation incident into a sensor according to an energy band, thereby counting the photons. The read circuits correspond to pixels of a radiation photographing region. Each read circuit corresponding to all pixels of the photographing region counts the photons in a predetermined energy band which is included in the radiation.
