PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an oily cosmetic for eyelashes having excellent removability with warm water in addition to excellent volume effects, curling effects and makeup sustainability (water resistance) peculiar to an oily cosmetic for eyelashes and a makeup method using the cosmetic.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for preparing an oily cosmetic for eyelashes, which comprises (A) 22 to 50 mass% of wax, (B) 0.1 to 10 mass% of a nonionic surfactant having an HLB value of 6 to 12 and (C) 20 to 70 mass% of a volatile oily agent, by using (A-1) a wax having a melting point of 50°C to less than 70°C and (A-2) a wax having a melting point of 70 to 110°C as the (A) component in a mass ratio of 1/0.2 to 1/5.
