A trap for rodents, in particular rats. The trap includes housing and a trapping chamber (10) where the passage extends from the side(s) of the housing. Additionally, the trap includes two electric conductors (20,6) situated close together to discharge and destroy the rodent. One of the electric poles is disposed outside the trapping chamber and reservoir. The trap is constructed with a transport mechanism (30) to discharge a destroyed rodent from a lower position in which the rodent is able to run into the trapping chamber and an upper position in which the trapping chamber is able to discharge a destroyed rodent into the reservoir (42).
