A memory associated with the computerstorespump activity log information and a drug library that includes pumpconfigurationinformation. A user interface with a display allows the user to input andstore in anactive worksheet customized entries into the drug library. Data entry schemarules in thememory validate individual entries in real time as they are being input andthe user isnotified on the display instantaneously as soon as a data entry schema rule isviolated.The rules include manufacturer-defined capabilities for the target pump andotherself-validation rules.
