The present invention is devised from the needs, and relates to a farming method of seaweed Cottonni for mass proliferating Cottonni, which is a source material to produce beneficial materials such as Carrageenan included in Cottonni. The present invention relates to a method of farming Cottonni upon water depth by each season by reflecting the inhabit character of the Cottonni, which comprises a step of connecting at least one net-based cultivation string in which mother individuals are fixed, and fixing the string to a net horizontal farming apparatus for farming Cottonni, being installed in the depth of 2-3 m and initially farming for 25-35 days； and a step of moving and fixing the initially farmed net-based cultivation string to the depth of 1 m, post-farming for 10-30 days and harvesting grown Cottonni, which enables to increase the productivity per unit area contrary to the existing farming method, which cultivates in a constant depth； and a farming apparatus therefor.본 발명은 상기와 같은 요구에 의해 안출된 것으로서, 코토니가 포함하는 카라키난 등의 유용 물질을 생산하기 위해 원료가 되는 코토니를 대량으로 증식하기 위한 해조류 코토니의 양식방법으로 코토니의 생활사를 반영하여, 시기에 따라 수심별로 양식하는 방법 및 이를 위한 양식장치로서 모조 개체가 고정된 그물발 양성줄을 하나 이상 연결하여 코토니 양식을 위한 그물발 수평면 양식장치에 고정하여 수심2-3m에 설치하여 25-35일간 초기 양식하는 단계； 초기 양식된 그물발 양성줄을 수심 1m이심으로 고정하여 10-30일간 후기 양식하여 성장한 코토니를 수확함으로서 기존의 일정 수심에서 양식하는 것과는 달리 성장단계별 최적의 환경수심에서 단위 면적당 생산량의 증대시킬 수 있다.
