PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aneurysm treatment device which is configured in association with a method for treating an aneurysm via a blood vessel, which can effectively suppress an increase in internal pressure of an aneurysm and which can reduce an influence on surrounding tissue, and the aneurysm treatment method.SOLUTION: An aneurysm treatment device 10 includes: a linear shaft 12 with flexibility a balloon 14 which is connected to a tip part of the shaft 12 and which can be expanded and contracted and a disengagement mechanism 16 which disengageably connects the shaft 12 and the balloon 14. When the balloon 14 is expanded in an aneurysm formed in a living body, the balloon 14 is brought into intimate contact with at least a part of an inner surface of the aneurysm.
