The present invention relates to a method for culturing flowering plants using sphagnum, capable of helping the sensory development and the promotion of personality education of children and adolescents through craft experiential learning by using eco-friendly sphagnum to easily prepare a ball-shaped flower pot and planting and culturing flowers in the pot. The present invention comprises: a first step of preparing sphagnum and spreading the sphagnum on the bottom； a second step of placing a molding frame on the spread sphagnum； a third step of allowing the sphagnum to compress and wrap the entire portion of the outside of the molding frame excluding an upper portion of the molding frame, thereby forming a sphagnum ball； a fourth step of allowing a support member to wrap and support an outside wall of the sphagnum ball which wraps the outside of the molding frame； a fifth step of removing the molding frame to form an inner space part with an opened upper portion in the sphagnum ball； a sixth step of planting flowers using soil in the inner space part, and packing the soil using the surrounding sphagnum above； a seventh step of attaching a decoration member on an external surface of the sphagnum ball in which the flowers are planted, thereby making a product featuring characters.본 발명은 자연친화적인 수태를 이용하여 손쉽게 볼형태의 화분을 제조함과 동시에 화초를 심어 재배할 수 있도록 함으로써 어린이 및 청소년의 공예체험학습을 통한 감각발달 및 인성교육 증진에 도움을 줄 수 있는 수태를 이용한 화초 재배방법에 관한 것이다.본 발명의 구성은, 수태를 마련하고, 바닥에 펼치는 제1과정； 상기 펼쳐 놓은 수태 위에 성형틀을 올려 놓는 제2과정； 상기 성형틀의 상부를 제외한 외측 전체를 수태로 압축하며 감싸 수태볼을 형성하는 제3과정； 상기 성형틀의 외측을 감싼 수태의 외벽을 지지부재로 감싸 지지하는 제4과정； 상기 성형틀을 제거하여 수태볼에 상부 개방형의 내부공간부를 형성하는 제5과정； 상기 내부공간부에 토양을 이용해 화초를 심고, 그 상측으로 주변 수태를 이용해 다져주는 제6과정； 상기 화초가 심어진 수태볼의 외면에는 장식부재를 부착하여 캐릭터화 시키는 제7과정；으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 한다.
