PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique of easily obtaining a good image in imaging an area having a high heterogeneity degree of static magnetic field distribution or an area not corrected by shimming in the case of imaging using an MRI apparatus.
SOLUTION: In an area meeting a predetermined condition, an imaging section is changed in position and angle while the size thereof is kept as it is to search for the position and angle having the best homogeneity of static magnetic field distribution. A section having the found position and angle is set in an imaging section. For example, an imaging enabled area larger than the imaging section is set, and the position and angle having the best homogeneity of static field distribution are searched within the preset range.
