PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that allows a sugar-coated tablet to be produced by a simple process, the sugar-coated tablet having a beautiful surface with a low equilibrium relative humidity and a small variation in mass and having an excellent strength.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, a method for producing a sugar-coated tablet comprises the steps of preparing an uncoated tablet and forming a sugar-coating layer on the surface of the uncoated tablet by applying a sugar-coating liquid containing sugars and hypromellose to the uncoated tablet. Sugars are contained in a proportion of 10 parts by mass or less with respect to 1 part by mass of hypromellose.
