PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent gushing of steam by misoperation of a drain valve in the one in which the drain valve for manually performing opening/closing operation is connected to a drain on the way on the bottom of a chamber for storing an article to be sterilized and performing sterilization.
SOLUTION: In the one equipped with the chamber for storing the article to be sterilized and performing sterilization, a lid for sealing the opening of this chamber, a steam generating means for supplying steam into the chamber/or generating steam in the chamber, a control means for controlling this steam generating means and the like, and the drain which is connected to the bottom of the chamber and keeps the drain valve manually opened/closed on the way connected a lock means for preventing opening/closing operation of the drain valve at least when pressurizing inside the chamber such as a sterilization process is disposed in the drain valve.
