PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal authentication method and device that have remarkably high accuracy compared with conventional methods and devices by utilizing an ocular fundus blood flow rate map obtained by irradiating the ocular fundus with a laser light flux.SOLUTION: The laser light flux is expanded and applied to an eye fundus and light reflected from retinal blood vessels of the eye fundus and blood vessel layers in eye fundus tissue is focused as a laser speckle on an image sensor by using an optical system. The amount representing the speed of a change in time of the amount of light received in each pixel of the laser speckle is calculated, and a blood flow map of the eye fundus is obtained by using the calculated value as a two-dimensional map. At least one of the following information is used to compare and verify it with pre-registered personal data: blood flow distribution data observed in the blood flow map, a pattern reflecting the routes of the retinal blood vessels, a pattern observed in a manner superposed thereon and to which routes of the retinal blood vessels are reflected, and data on time lapse changes thereof.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】レーザー光束を眼底に照射して得られる眼底血流速マップを利用して、従来のものよりも格段に精度の高い個人認証方法・装置を提供すること。【解決手段】レーザー光束を拡げて眼底に照射し、眼底の網膜血管及び眼底内部組織にある血管層から反射した光を、光学系を用いてイメージセンサー上にレーザースペックルとして結像し、レーザースペックルの各画素における受光量の時間変化の速さを表す量を算出し、その数値を2次元マップとして眼底の血流マップを求め、該血流マップ内に観察される血流分布データ、網膜血管の走向を反映するパターン、これに重畳して観察される眼底内部組織の血管の走行を反映するパターン、及びこれらの経時変化のデータのうち少なくとも一つを利用して、これを予め登録されている個人データと比較・照合することを特徴とする個人認証方法。【選択図】図1
