The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treating cancer with use of photodynamic therapy including an Au nanorod polyethylene glycol graphene oxide (AuNR-PEG-GO) composite wherein the AuNR-PEG-GO composite is made from Au nanorod treated with acid and graphene oxide (GO) modified by the PEG and is allowed to decrease survival rate of cancer cells to 40%, thereby being used for efficiently treating cancer as a photodynamic therapy.본 발명은 금나노막대폴리에틸렌글리콜그래핀 산화물 복합체를 포함하는 암의 광역학 치료용 약학조성물에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 산이 처리된 금나노막대(AuNR) 및 폴리에틸렌글리콜(PEG)로 개질된 그래핀 산화물(GO)로 이루어진 AuNR-PEG-GO 복합체는 빛의 조사에 의해 40%까지 암세포 생존율을 감소시키므로, 상기 AuNR-PEG-GO 복합체는 효과적인 암의 광역학 치료제로서 사용될 수 있다.
