PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel immunostimulant of a natural product origin which has an immunostimulation activity, and a method of producing the same.SOLUTION: The immunostimulant includes a heart of an animal, or its extract. The extract desirably is for example a heat-treated extract of the heart, and especially desirably is an extract containing a water-soluble fraction. According to the immunostimulant, an immunity activity can be promoted. Moreover, the immunostimulant is a natural product origin, thereby excels also in safety, for example, and is effective also in a zero emission of using of fishery biomass or the like, and a fishery waste, and a livestock waste or the like.【課題】 免疫促進活性を有する天然物由来の新たな免疫促進剤およびその製造方法の提供を目的とする。【解決手段】 本発明の免疫促進剤は、動物の心臓またはその抽出物を含むことを特徴とする。前記抽出物は、例えば、加熱処理した前記心臓の抽出物であることが好ましく、特に水溶性画分を含む抽出物であることが好ましい。本発明の免疫促進剤によれば、免疫活性を促進できる。また、本発明の免疫促進剤は、天然物由来であることから、例えば、安全性にも優れ、水産バイオマス等の利用ならびに水産廃棄物および畜産廃棄物等のゼロエミッション化にも有効である。【選択図】 図４
