A method for treating the scalp (3) to slow and prevent hair loss, consisting in: performing, during a first step (A), a mechanical massage with suction, of at least one portion (4) of the surface of the scalp (3) arranging, during a second step (B), on the at least one portion (4) of the surface of the scalp (3), a mixture which comprises, in proportions which can vary from 0.01% to 30%, a chemical compound having the formula C9H15N5O, known by the trade name Minoxidil® subjecting, during a step (C), the at least one portion (4) of the surface of the scalp (3) to the luminous radiation emitted by light-emitting diodes (5), normally known as LEDs.
