Implementations described and claimed herein involve an easy fill bird feedingsystem. In oneimplementation, a depression is received of a release button on a cap assemblyconnected to abody defining a reservoir. The cap assembly has a cap opening providing accessto the reservoir.A lid of the cap assembly is released at a first side upon the depression ofthe release button.The lid is moved from a closed position to an open position using a bias of aspring assemblyupon the release of the lid. The lid moves from the closed position to theopen position along arotation path created by a hinge at a second side. The lid is held in the openposition by thespring bias, and the open position provides access to the reservoir throughthe cap opening.Birdseed is received through the cap opening into the reservoir.
