The guide (2) has a receiving unit i.e. recess (4), formed on its length to receive a tooth (3) extending in a direction of width of the guide, where the tooth is made of metal or rigid plastic material. The receiving unit is individually selected for receiving the tooth, where a space between the tooth and an end of the guide or between two consecutive teeth is determined based on the selected receiving unit. The tooth has an extending front part (3a) that is projected laterally outside the guide.L' invention concerne un guide chaîne adaptable à la coupe de différentes grosseurs de végétaux et tronçonneuse munie d'un tel guide chaîne. Ce guide chaîne est caractérisé en ce qu' il présente au moins un moyen de réception (4) d'une dent (3) respective placé sur la longueur du guide chaîne (2), ce ou ces moyens de réception (4) étant individuellement sélectionnés pour recevoir une dent (3), l'espacement entre une dent (3) et une extrémité du guide chaîne (2) ou entre deux dents (3) consécutives étant déterminé selon les moyens de réception (4) sélectionnés. Application dans le domaine du jardinage, notamment de la coupe de végétaux de différentes grosseurs.
