PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor for living body of which design simplifies the sensor structure part contained in a needle part to allow easy production thereof.SOLUTION: A detection PD element 22 is formed on a tabular single-crystal silicon substrate and trimmed to use it as a light-receiving substrate 12, and then the light-receiving substrate 12 is jointed to a light-emitting substrate 11 having an LED element 21, the light-emitting substrate 11 being a sapphire substrate or the like. A reference PD element 23 is formed on a reference base surface 13b located on the undersurface of the counter substrate 13. The light-receiving substrate 12 and the counter substrate 13 are jointed to the light-emitting substrate 11, and a fluorescent substance 15 is arranged between the light-receiving substrate 12 and the counter substrate 13.
