PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma processing apparatus for implant surface modification in which an implant is made possible to perform an overall surface treatment homogeneously, regardless of a direction of placement.SOLUTION: A plasma processing apparatus for implant surface modification has: a sealed container 2； electrodes provided on upper and lower surfaces in a sealed container, respectively； an electric supply unit for supplying electricity to the electrodes； a vacuum pump 31 for bringing the sealed container into a low pressure； and an implant arrangement unit 25 for arranging an implant between the upper electrode 21 and the lower electrode 22. The apparatus is provided for generating plasma in the sealed container by bringing the sealed container into the low pressure and supplying an electric current into the electrodes, and modifying the surface of the implant arranged between the upper electrode and the lower electrode.
