Antibodies comprising a tag containing a sulfatase motif in the constant region of an immunoglobulin (Ig) light chain polypeptide are disclosed. Sulfatase motifs can be converted by formyl glycine-forming enzyme (FGE) to produce formyl glycine (fGly) -substituted Ig light chain polypeptides. The fGly-modified Ig light chain polypeptide of the antibody may be covalently and site-specifically conjugated to a powder of interest to provide an antibody conjugate.
