PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the separation or connection of medical instrument from or to a connector and to reduce pain when the connector hits a patient.
SOLUTION: The medical connector has a hollow body 65 and a cap 66 made of a flexible elastic material, the proximal end portion of the body 65 is a proximal end side connecting body 67 which is constituted of a rigid material and to which the medical instrument is removably fitted, the proximal end portion of a tube connected to a human body is fitted to the distal end portion of the body 65, the proximal end portion of the cap 66 is a hinge portion 66A arranged in the body 65, the distal end portion of the cap 66 is the cap body 66B removably fitted to the proximal end of the proximal end side connecting body 67 from which the medical instrument is separated, openably closing the proximal end side opening of the proximal end side connecting body 67, and projecting outward in a radial direction from the proximal end side connecting body 67 over the whole periphery when closed.
