PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device, sensor control system, sensor control method, and sensor control program that make it possible to perform appropriate operation control on a sensor, depending on various users or the users various actions.SOLUTION: A portable electronic device 10 comprises: a sensor unit 11 for measuring a users situation and/or an environment in which the user is positioned an action pattern storage unit 122 for storing an action pattern and a control unit 13 for controlling the sensor unit 11.
