Devices and methods are provided herein for exchange between a first agent and a second agent. The device includes a first chamber having a first inlet and a first outlet with a first flow passageway extending between the first inlet and the first outlet for flowing a first agent through the first chamber. The device also includes a second chamber having a second inlet and a second outlet with a second flow passageway extending between the second inlet and the second outlet for flowing a second agent through the second chamber and a membrane positioned between the first flow passageway and the second flow passageway to allow exchange through the membrane of the first agent with the second agent.
