PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily identifying the tree species of an interspecific hybrid of a eucalyptus plant.SOLUTION: The method for identifying the species of the interspecific hybrid of the eucalyptus plant using a plurality of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) includes steps of amplifying regions each containing SNP1 to SNP17 with the genomic DNA of the hybrid as a template, determining the sequence of amplified products to determine each base of SNP1 to SNP17, and specifying the parent species of the hybrid based on a diagram that represents relationships between the SNPs and tree species.
