PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which prevents turning-up of a hip-hold part and is excellent in a feeling of wear.SOLUTION: An absorbent article is provided with a body having a liquid-permeable surface sheet, a liquid-impermeable rear surface sheet, and an absorber provided between the surface sheet and the rear surface sheet, and a hip-hold part. The body is in the shape that has prescribed length in a back and forth direction and a prescribed width in a direction orthogonal to the back and forth direction. The hip hold part has in a side part area projecting from a rear side part of the body: a first projection including a part whose width from a center line in the back and forth direction of the body is the largest a first recess adjacent to a part in front of the first projection and a second projection adjacent to a part in front of the first recess.
